Surprisingly, Ontario does not have a Lemon Law – only small claims court. Ontarians with vehicle warranty complaints can seek remedy through CAMVAP (Canadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan). CAMVAP however, only applies to current model vehicles, four years old or less. CAMVAP is a binding arbitration process that can only be used in lieu of court action between the disgruntled owner and manufacturer over warranty applications, and does not cover poorly designed products.
